My three “reponses” are up at Prompt Press. These poems were inspired by James Gouldthorpe’s amazing work “The Great American Novel.” My poems are “Farm to Table” and “We All Need Lots of Fathers Parts one and two.” You can also read about the inspiration process from the artist and all of the contributing writers. This really cool press is run by Jenny Colville- an awesome fiction writer who I had the pleasure of meeting in one of the amazing, weekly Generative Writing Workshop in Iowa City. I so miss these workshops (!)–spear-headed by Lisa K. Roberts, queen bee of The Iowa Youth Writing Project and Iowa City Poetry.

Jennifer is a writer who currently lives in Iowa City, Iowa. She is interested in writing poetry, reading poetry, walking in the woods, making little weird crafty things, taking photos, painting, collage, putting things in little boxes and then putting those boxes in odd places, petting furry and non-furry beasts, listening to music in the car, gardening, and designing DIY projects made of felt or old vintage fabrics. She works for two different professors at two different universities. She also wrote four YA non-fiction books a world of time ago when she lived in NYC.
